Blind Scale: Logic Puzzle, a cute balance-scale brain teaser for Android and iPhone
A few cute creatures look exactly the same size, but each one hides a different weight. You have one brass balance scale. Your job: put them in order, from lightest to heaviest, in as few weighings as you can.
The basics
- Weigh two. Tap a creature to put it on the scale, then tap a second one, or drag them onto the pans. The scale tips toward the heavier one, and the creatures react with funny faces.
- The table remembers. Everything you learn is shown on the table below: lighter creatures sit to the left, and threads connect lighter to heavier. No notes, no memory tricks.
- Pick the next pair. That's the whole game: one decision, over and over. If you already know which of two is heavier, weighing them again teaches you nothing.
- Beat par. Par is the number of weighings a perfect player can always guarantee, however unlucky the weights are. Finish at par or under for three stars.
- You can't get stuck. If a level runs long, simply try again with new weights. A hint shows a smart pair to weigh when you need a nudge.
Twists
Across 300 levels in 15 worlds, from Meadow to Starlit Marsh, new ideas keep it fresh:
- Different goals: find only the heaviest, both ends, the top two, or the one in the middle.
- Twins: two creatures that weigh exactly the same.
- The sleepy friend: it has only a few naps left. You can poke it awake, but that costs two extra weighings.
- The tired friend: after each weighing it has to rest for one turn.
- The fibbing scale: it may lie once. Can you catch it?
More ways to play
- Daily puzzle (after level 10): the same puzzle for everyone each day, with a scale that answers to make it as hard as possible. Keep your streak and share your result.
- Endless (after level 20): back-to-back levels with three hearts.
- Rush (after level 30): beat a clock that gets a little shorter every level.
- 36 friends: new creatures join as you earn stars, each with its own look, voice and personality. Tap them to say hi.
Tips
- Start by weighing creatures you know nothing about.
- When you look for only the heaviest, a creature that lost once is out of the race.
- Ask yourself: whichever way the scale tips, will I learn something new?
